The renewal of the partnership for innovation between Hexagon Manufactur- ing Intelligence and Team Formula One Red Bull Racing has been signed. Red Bull Racing will therefore continue to use Hexagon's measurement technol- ogies both in its establishment and on raceground. With a car that contains about 100,000 pieces and a team running up to 30,000 project changes in a season, the quality department of the Red Bull Racing operates under con- stant pressure to support the design and development team. The team also uses portable measuring systems to ensure accuracy in the configuration of the car during the race weekends. "We work with extremely tight deadlines but we cannot compromise on accuracy, either in component manufacturing or in the development on the circuit," says Chris Charnley, Quality Manager at Red Bull Racing. "The Hexagon technology allows us to perform testing op- erations in speed but in complete confidence in the reliability of the results." Red Bull Racing continuerà quindi ad utilizzare le tecnologie di misura Hexagon sia nel suo stabilimento sia in pista. Con una vettura che contiene circa 100.000 componenti e un team che esegue fino a 30.000 cambiamenti di progetto in una stagione, il reparto qualità della Red Bull Racing opera costantemente sotto pressione per poter supportare i team di progettazione e sviluppo.
